2024 US Open is done!

Over 1000 ( 😮 ) dogs competing over 5 days!

Marathon event but it’s so professionally run! Bravo!

Bodhi deserves his own post as he blew me away this week. He is a great traveler and loves these events. Some runs he got a bit over the top but he got to run in two(!!) finals. He ran in the big ring with music and loud speaker and was a champ!

I cannot wait to see how this brilliant young boy will develop. Bodhi, I promise I will work hard to be the best handler for you (and to start running sprint training 😝)

Bodhi US Open:

💙 18th out of 250+, 20” dogs Speedstakes semi finals

💙 10th out of 230+, 20” dogs

💙 9th out of 200+, 20” dogs Master series Agility last chance

💙 19th out of 46, 20” dogs Biathlon Agility Finals

What a week!

If you run agility, you should really consider going to the UKI US Open! It is such a great event, professionally run, great courses and judges and the atmosphere is amazing!!!! It is also exhausting, 4 am wake up calls, mentally challenging, late nights but again, AMAZING!

Leia was a my seasoned littler super star but was a bit concerned in the rings.

We still pulled off some super runs and I’m very proud of her. I think she had one refusal and some time faults all week. That’s pretty darn awesome at an event like this.

We have arrived in Jacksonville, Florida for the 2024 UKI US Open!

Pups are such good travelers and hotel guests. We stopped in South Carolina on the way and today we reached Florida.

This will be an intense, thrilling, fun, nerve wrecking, tiring, amazing week!

Whatever happens, I am so happy and grateful to be here with my best dogs! To be healthy and able to be on this adventure once more.

To my wonderful husband Patrick Cosgriff who is taking care of Sookie, kids, sports and full time job. Thank you for supporting my agility addiction! 🤪

We had a wonderful weekend at Rising Star Canine Ranch in North Carolina. Very challenging courses but so nice to run in this huge open space.

Leia was (as always, right) a star. We continue to work on the ring stress but she actually ran better and better and last run was the best of the weekend.

I am so so so proud of how Bodhi ran! I decided to challenge us with Master Series and we didn’t E any of the runs. Yay! One tiny thing in all runs Friday and Saturday but he was soooo good. Our last run was clean and one of those that just makes you smile from ear to ear.

Exactly 3 weeks after the mass in her spleen broke and she had emergency surgery, Sookie is back hiking! Today we did almost 3 miles at the Powhatan state park.
She was so happy to be back on the trails!

Keeping your dogs fit and healthy throughout their whole lives with exercise, fitness and superior nutrition can help them recover faster at any age.

The cancer… we will fight with chemo starting tomorrow.

The AKC Invitationals is a very unique national event held in Orlando every December. The top 5 agility dogs in each breed gets invited to compete at this event.

Most shops and restaurants are dog friendly and it’s nice to be able to bring the crew everywhere we go.
