Animal Kingdom VA, LLC Animal Kingdom of VA is a small privately owned exotic animal facility in Southwest Virginia.

Animal Kingdom VA began more than 25 years ago with a single camel, and has grown to include lions, lemurs, peacocks and more. (Please note that as of 2023 lions and camels are no longer a part of our exhibits.) The facility is licensed and operates in accordance with federal and state regulations. Animal Kingdom VA LLC is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of animals by providing a venue for children and adults to see and learn about them.

Several of you have asked about our schedule this fall. We are not open to the public, or field trips, at this time as a COVID pandemic precaution. We have several primates and large felines which are susceptible to the virus.
All are thriving and remain healthy, but their protection & safety is our priority. If we feel it is safe to reopen later in the season, we will post dates here and on the website.
Thank you so much for your continued interest. We have missed having you come to see, learn about, and enjoy our lions, lemurs, peacocks and others, and we look forward to safely reopening at a later date.

Meanwhile the lemurs are enjoying their cookies and having fun, as always! ❤️ (nutritious biscuits developed for primates 🙂).

Due to the COVID-19 response requirements, we are not open for visitors right now.
We very much appreciate the Likes and nice comments received, and will miss the excitement of our school groups, and all visitors, who love seeing the animals.
We will resume normal operations at a later date.

Notice: We will be closed on Saturday & Sunday June 22 & 23 due to the stormy forecast.

Animal Kingdom VA is closed Sunday June 9 due to the rain. We apologize if you had planned to visit us this weekend.
Our parking area and road are still soaked, and the animals all decided to stay in/under their shelters and dry this morning.

We are so sorry but we will need to close today Saturday June 8. All the rain has left our parking area too soggy to use now. We plan to be open Sunday June 9 if the rain will let up a bit, but check back here for more info before coming.
