Positive training is science based and current. It does not mean dogs get a treat all the time. That's a common misconception and born out of a plethora of misinformation and lack of education.

I've been a trainer for over 13 years. I've re-trained dogs (and their humans) after they have taken corrective classes and/or board & train. I base my philosophy on facts, science, education, and experience.

Rewards are fluid. There is no "one" reward that works across the board. Dogs are like humans; not one is exactly like another. As a trainer I have studied behavior and prided myself on sharing that knowledge with my clients. Positive Training means working the problem. It's not a quick fix. It's a journey you take with your dog, not something you do to your dog. It means trust, respect and love. If you feel you have to inflict harm on your dog to get results, I implore you to try a respected and educated Positive trainer.

I have helped so many families and I stay with them until they are comfortable with their communication skills. The happiness I see when a human starts to understand their dog is priceless to me. When we, as humans, begin to learn their language all the frustration and need for that quick fix fades away.

I love what I do. As we head into summer I have some amazing training opportunities coming up. Stay tuned !!🐾

Nothing upsets me more than seeing dogs being walked on prong collars, especially puppies who should NEVER have a choke or prong on.

As someone who has always had large breed dogs, I can attest personally to the fact that you do not need a corrective collar to walk your dog. In fact, many large breeds are prone to Larangyl Paralysis (or lar-par) and the use of constrictive apparatus can increase those chances and sometimes even create issues that weren't there.

I think there is alot of miseducation regarding strong dogs and corrective collars. Education is so important and that's what solid trusted trainers and behavior specialists do.

I have experience training many breeds from Dobermans to German Shepherds, Great Danes, Akitas, Rottweilers, Irish Wolfhound, Cane Corso and more. I have seen the success that pet parents have when they work hard, understand their dog, and put in the work.

I don't train your dog. Instead I help you understand what your dog is saying, what they mean, and what they want. I teach dog self-regulation and how to take ownership of their behavior instead of the pet parent having to do it.

Raising a dog is exhausting enough so when I can help build a bond between human and dog, one of mutual respect, it makes me incredibly happy.

If you have any questions or are unsure of how to walk your large breed dog please reach out. I would love to assist. 🐶
