Good morning everybody, wish I was coming here to give better news, but unfortunately, the money that we needed to raise yesterday for Shawna to Transport blitz and Zelda, on her 30 hour round-trip Transport, did not come through… Matter of fact, not one person donated yesterday to our five dollar fundraiser… so we had to spend our personal money which we need to get reimbursed for. I'm not really sure where we go from here, because we're all just really burnt and tired, no, I'm sorry not tired just exhausted… Every single time we're on Facebook, it's another Rescue) closing, it's another organization, talking about how they are considering closing, it's one of our shelters that we work with, once again, taking in more dogs then they can handle as their building is beyond capacity… There's more dogs than there are people willing to foster and adopt… So I'd like to ask our supporters, anybody have any suggestions for some fundraisers? We'd love to hear some ideas! Below is the list of expenses that we currently have, and we need to get some money in our account:
$5-$600 needed for Jurassic's heartworm treatment
$400 for Shawna's round-trip Transport to Gaston, North Carolina & Milford Pennsylvania, from SC
$500 to be put in our account for Transport and or vetting needs for our dogs currently in Foster, which include Smokey, Avala, and Zelda
As you can see, we need to get these funds soon sooner rather than later, so if anybody has any suggestions, please let us know…
For this weekend, I would like to do what I'm calling A "happy anniversary" fundraiser… As many know I started this organization back in 2013 and while we did rescue a lot of dogs from 2013 to 2016, August 2016 was when we got our official 501c3 status from the IRS, so we are 10 years old this month! I am so proud of all of the dogs we have saved! And I am super proud of the amazing executive board of incredible women who have worked alongside of myself and Caroline! We've had a tremendous run and wonderful success with this organization. So with that being said, I'm asking everybody that can, to pls donate $10 for our "happy anniversary" fundraiser....our platforms below. If you cannot, please donate whatever amount you can, and share share share this, so we can get some traction and hopefully meet our goals for fundraising…
Just wanted to share a couple of pictures, Wendigo, who is one of the MAL puppies, who was donated to K9 Responder Academy, to become a service dog, is going home with his person today! Blitz, and Zelda made the trip to Gaston and Milford, wonderfully! And lastly, is a picture of our beautiful Neesha (who we took possession of and worked with Spence, who is a phenomenal, trainer and friend, and she found a fantastic home with a active duty service member! We could not be happier!
THIS IS WHAT WE CAN DO WHEN WE HAVE SUPPORT FROM OUR SUPPORTERS! As I've said, will do the dirty work as long as our supporters help us financially! And look at what we've done over the last 13 years!
