🐾🌞 As temperatures rise, it's crucial to keep our pets safe during heatwaves. Remember these tips to ensure your furry friends stay cool and hydrated:

🌿 Provide fresh water for your pets
🌞 Limit outdoor activities during the hottest times
🚫 Don't leave pets outside for long periods
🚗 Never leave pets in vehicles
🌳 Offer shade and cool areas for your pet to rest

Learn to recognize signs of heat distress in pets, such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, or collapse.

Community Animal Care will be closed tomorrow, Monday, February 23, 2026, due to the impending storm and Dutchess County, New York State of emergency. Our phones will be monitored throughout the day by our nursing staff and will return any urgent calls as quickly as possible.

If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, please visit a local emergency clinic right away.

We anticipate being open normal hours on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 8 AM
