Huge thank you to Alexis Howe for designing my new business logo for Furs to Birds Taxidermy!

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Alexis to bring this design to life. She was incredibly easy to work with. She was always open to ideas, full of creativity, and made sure I was familiar and comfortable with every part of the process.

She took the time to really understand the look I was going for and delivered something we could both be proud of! I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! Thank you again Howe Howe Art

Putting in the Work on a Beautiful Bull Elk Mount!

Here’s a sneak peek at a stunning elk I have been working on in the shop! This piece is coming together beautifully, but like every quality mount, there’s a lot more behind the scenes than meets the eye.

From careful cape prep and antler setting, to intricate detail work around the nose, ears and eyes, every step counts toward creating a lifelike final product.

Can’t wait to see this one on display in its forever home!

This European mount holds more than just antlers — it carries a story. During preparation, a small metal fragment was discovered in the jawbone, likely from an old bullet. Moments like these remind us that every mount represents not just a trophy, but a life lived and a story told.

The 2025 Port Clinton Fishing Rodeo was nothing short of amazing! 🎣 Watching the kids run around with huge smiles, excited to catch fish and spend time with other young anglers who share their passion, was truly heartwarming.

I had the honor of working at the check station, where I got to measure every fish that came in. Seeing the kids’ faces light up when they found out how big their catch was—that was the most rewarding part of my day. I wasn’t exaggerating when I said the event would be full of smiles and laughter!

It was a perfect day for kids to get outside, enjoy the sunshine, and make memories. And for the adults, it was a great time to network, reconnect, and celebrate our amazing community.

Thank you to everyone who made it such a fun and unforgettable day!
