Beau and Ghost are settling in at their new home, they are absolutely loving all this grass!

Both will come back to celebrate Beau’s retirement party on the 6th, but for now we want them to get comfortable with their new routine and get loved on by Gina and her daughter.

Ghost might have a potential home and could remain at the same barn as Beau! We hope this connection is a good fit for him, but we aren’t rushing anything with him.

From lessons to camps to pony parties and everything in between, Beau has worked tremendously hard to teach others and learn new tricks himself. Before coming to NGF he was an IEA horse and helped with lessons, but before that he was someone’s horse. Recently we have been debating whether or not he should continue lessons or be loved on by someone special.

While he is still sound to ride, we think it is best to retire him from the lesson herd and be a good first horse to two of our students, a mom and daughter. We will host a retirement party for Beau before he leaves for his new home at the family’s new farm. He will enjoy eating all the beautiful grass on the new farm! We will still see Beau, we plan to go on a lot of trails together and will visit his new barn all the time.

An event will be posted soon for Beau’s party, keep an eye out for that date!

Stick left this morning to meet his adopted family! It was a pleasure having him in the barn, working with him, and him joining us for camp (leading and grooming only, but with his personality and calm demeanor I could have put the kids on him 🤣), but now it is time for him to get loved on by his new family and barn.

We cannot wait to see him thrive in his new home and career. 🥰💚

Welcome Cinnamon Stick! Stick is an 11 year old standardbred gelding from Trot Trot Standardbreds Adoption & Retraining Program. He has already been adopted and he is here at the farm for a month of training to get him started under saddle. We will also be taking him on many trails.

We look forward to starting his training once it is safe (air quality).
