Congratulations Opal, she found a wonderful home close by at a therapeutic barn! She is so happy with the work she is doing and the barn members love her already. We will miss her here, but we are welcome to come visit. We could not have asked for a better fit.

With great sorrow, I decided to lay Artemis down to rest today. Yesterday she went to New Bolton due to a persistent lameness we have been trying to manage for more than 2 months. They found a large boney cyst in her femur, meeting at her stifle. There were treatment options but no cure and no guarantees, with her behavior and unwillingness due to pain, it would have been hard to treat or manage in her next home. This was unpredictable and has likely been going on for quite some time (before me).

I and others at my barn enjoyed having her here these past few months, even with her annoying teeth grinding (likely due to the pain). We all loved giving her the attention she deserved and craved, she is a big personality that will be missed. We got a chance to say goodbye at NB, she calmed down right when the vet handed her to me. I like to think the work I was doing with her was working for her, she loved our sessions with R+.

Raven and Bella moved into their new home at their owner’s house today. We were happy to have them for the short period of time while their fence was getting installed. Enjoy caring for these lovely girls!
