No video today I was busy enjoying the moment, running was tough at best. But was still great to be outdoors. Even ol Pete ran around and got 18 miles in. Pete is my liver GSP. Not everyday is perfect running. But nature is always beautiful.

Let's talk beagles for a minute. Beagles are genetically bred to chase rabbits. They may catch sight of the rabbit, once they loose sight they start to use their nose and pursue the trail the rabbit left behind. Most rabbits stay atleast 30 yards ahead of th3 dogs and make wild turns, dogs, and even double back on their truck or within a few yards to confuse the dog. The more experienced the rabbit the harder it is for the dogs to track. Dirt, snow, ice and dry ground all make it harder for the dog to smell where the rabbit went.
