Tick season is in full swing! Please stop by to pick up a flea/tick preventive today. Products purchased at Glenvilah come with a manufacturer’s guarantee— this is not the case with preventives purchased at pet stores or through online pharmacies!

If you find a tick on your dog or cat and need help removing it, a member of our savvy veterinary staff will be happy to assist.

Pets are very susceptible to tick bites and can carry ticks into your home. Help keep your family tick-free by checking your pets for ticks daily. Learn more — including how to identify and safely remove ticks — at health.maryland.gov/tick.

HEAT ADVISORY! As temperatures soar, please remember to keep your pets cool!

With dangerous heat upon us, it's a good time to share safety tips. Walk your dog in the early morning & evening when it's not quite as hot & go for a shorter walk. Ensure your pets have plenty of water & keep them indoors with you where it's cooler! And, if you see an animal left out in this heat, or locked in a car, be their voice & notify the proper authorities. Please leave your hot weather tips in the comments.
