I haven’t been on Facebook much this past year. It’s just been a crazy year adjusting to our move. We’re finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Prepare to be flooded with pics and announcements soon! For now, we have unfortunate news of putting our beloved Lego down. At almost 25 yrs old, it was time. We can’t thank Anya Cromie enough for choosing us to keep Lego through his retirement years. Lego was an irreplaceable teacher to my students. We affectionately called all 18+ hands of him the elephant giraffe cross, yet, his heart was bigger than he was. He was careful with the tiniest kids and may hold the record for teaching students to canter with his perfect walk to canter transition and slow steady lope. You just had to watch out for that pogo stick trot coming down😂 There will never be another Lego. I already miss him looking at me turning his head sideways asking for chin scratches💔 If you knew Lego, you knew his only thing was to casually walk away/leave from your hand and go back to his pasture or stall if he suspected anything different and there was nothing you could do to stop him. While we stood around Lego crying and saying goodbye prior, he left😂 That was Lego’s farewell to us and I’m glad he did it❤️ Isaiah collected him one last time and Lego stood quiet and passed peacefully. You’ll forever be missed by all❤️
