They needed us, and we said yes ❤️
Sixteen dogs this past month. Ten from Lassen County. Six from right here in Plumas County. Sixteen lives that needed somewhere safe to land.
Overcrowding at local shelters is something we take seriously, and we're always grateful when we can step in. We know how stressful it is for animal control officers to face those hard calls, and we try to be there.
Every single one of these dogs needs vet care, vaccines, spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, and often training and extra TLC to help them heal and get ready for their forever homes. That is a lot of love, and it takes real resources to give it to them.
This is where monthly giving makes all the difference. A recurring gift, even just $10 or $20 a month, means we do not have to scramble when the next call comes in. It lets us say yes to the next 16 dogs, and the 16 after that, without hesitation.

We're really excited to show you who these 16 dogs are, and will be sharing more about them shortly on social media and our website. Our staff has been working so hard to make sure that they are comforted and cared for every day, and we'd like to thank them for all that they do. They are especially attentive to the mental and emotional wellbeing of our long stay dogs, and it shows.
