I was at a wildlife sanctuary when FIVE lion cubs — raised by caretakers since birth — came running up to me, climbed onto my lap, licked my face, and cuddled like I was their new mom.

Lion cubs are playful, curious, and incredibly affectionate — especially when raised in safe environments. Sanctuaries like this one help rescue and rehabilitate cubs who’ve lost their mothers to poaching or habitat loss.

⚠️ This is NOT safe with wild lions. Never approach a lion — even a cub — in the wild. This interaction was supervised by experts in a protected enclosure.

But moments like this remind us: even future kings can be gentle babies.
