Portland Animal Save is working in conjunction with save groups across the world to bring awareness to the cruelty of the animal industries, to promote plant-based vegan living, and to bring together a community of animal activists. p where everyone is welcome! The Save Movement was founded by Anita Krajnc in Toronto, 2010, after witnessing a truck carrying pigs to slaughter while walking her dog. The Toronto Pig Save gained worldwide media attention in 2015, when Krajnc was charged with ‘criminal mischief’ for giving water to pigs suffering through transport to slaughter during a summer heatwave. The Save Movement is a rapidly growing movement with over 150 save groups across the globe to date.
