NW Barn Hunt LLC news
NW Barn Dogs is making some changes which will make us more visible and more active. As some of you know, I have been ill for some time and finally have a diagnosis which will not allow me to be as active in Barn Hunt as I would like, however, I still plan to be involved.
NW Barn Dogs LLC is being transferred to Jeanette Landon, an “original” PacificNW Barn Hunter. She has been involved with NW Barn Dogs LLC since the first workshop we presented in 2013 and has been present at every event we’ve hosted since then. She is very knowledgeable about the sport of Barn Hunt and an excellent trainer. She will have my assistance learning the business side of things and Tim and Luke Ketchum will be working along side her. In addition to those folks, she has the support and assistance from Janet Oatney.
The first trial Jeanette will chair is the June 22, 23 and 24th trial at the Clackamas County Fairgrounds. This trial is in conjunction with the Clackamas Kennel Club AKC trial. Barn Hunt has held trials in conjunction with this CKC AKC trial for the past 3 years. Entries are now available at barnhunt.com. Day of Show entries (with additional fee) are being accepted but pre-entry is recommended. There will be Master and Crazy 8 on Friday and 2 trials each Saturday and Sunday. Jeanette will have lots of support, but can always use volunteers. Please join us for a great weekend of Barn Hunt and AKC activities.
Jeanette can be reached at [email protected] or message her on Face Book. It has been my pleasure to host many Barn Hunt events over the past several years but am pleased to turn the club over to someone who shares my love and dedication to the sport and who will take good care of my club, the exhibitors, the dogs and, of course, the rats
