Layla has had a tough few days with mastitis, but she’s finally starting to feel better. She’s been resting while her puppies, now nearly six weeks old, are thriving on solids.

Seeing her eat again feels like a big step in her recovery. She’s such a strong, sweet mama, and we’re so proud of her.

I don’t often share photos that include my children, as I’m mindful of their privacy and always respect their wishes if they’d rather not be in the spotlight. While our family is deeply involved in raising our puppies, you’ll usually see or hear about them behind the scenes, not in front of the camera, unless they’re comfortable with it.

That being said, this sweet moment was shared with full permission – my youngest having a cuddle with Ella 💕. Honestly, can it get any cuter?

It’s moments like these that make our journey with the puppies so special.

Mama Layla is taking a peaceful nap just outside the whelping box, while her 9-day-old pups are all cozied up together on their heated mat. At this age, they rely on warmth to stay comfortable since they can’t regulate their body temperature on their own yet. That’s why having a cozy heat source and Layla nearby gives them all the comfort they need. It’s heartwarming to see this little routine—Layla getting her rest while still keeping a watchful ear out for her babies. 💤

🚽 Let’s Talk Toilet Training!

Potty training your puppy doesn’t have to be stressful—with the right plan and some patience, you’ll both master it! 🐾✨

When should you take your puppy out?
👉 Right after they:

• Eat
• Play
• Sleep

It’s all about routine. Consistency makes all the difference! Here are 5 toilet training tips to help you and your pup ⬇️

1️⃣ Head straight to the toilet spot! 🚽
When you get home (after a car ride or walk), take them directly to their toilet spot. This teaches them where to go right from the start!

2️⃣ Celebrate success! 🎉
When they use the right spot, immediately say “good” or “yes” and give them a treat. Positive reinforcement helps them associate the spot with rewards—making them more eager to repeat the behavior.

3️⃣ Take them out often! 🚪
After eating, playing, or sleeping, it’s time for a bathroom break. Frequent trips outside will prevent accidents—carry them if needed to avoid any accidents on the way out!

4️⃣ Watch closely—no free roaming yet! 👀
Until they’re fully reliable, avoid letting them roam the house unsupervised. Use a puppy pen or keep them in a specific area, or even attach a light leash indoors to redirect them quickly if they try to sneak off to a corner!

5️⃣ Remind them where to go! 🫵
Even if they seem to understand, keep taking them outside regularly. Don’t wait for them to tell you—they’re still learning! Always continue the praise and rewards—puppies thrive on positive reinforcement! 🐕💛

Extra Tips!
🚫 No punishment for accidents—instead, calmly redirect them to the right spot.
🧼 Clean up properly—use a bio-enzymatic cleaner to remove odors and prevent repeat accidents.

Toilet training takes time, but with patience, consistency, and lots of love, your puppy will get the hang of it in no time! 🙌🐾

**Puppy-Proofing Your Home: Let the Fun Begin! 🐾**

Bringing a new puppy home is pure excitement, but get ready for some wild adventures! Puppies are curious little explorers, so let’s make sure your home is a safe playground for your fur baby. Here’s how to get your place puppy-ready:

1. **Hide Those Wires!** Puppies are basically tiny chewing machines—keep cords and wires out of reach or cover them up so they don’t become the next snack.

2. **Lock Up the Dangerous Stuff!** Cleaning supplies and meds are a no-go for puppies. Make sure they’re stashed away where your little explorer can’t get to them.

3. **Block Off Forbidden Zones!** Got stairs or rooms you want to keep puppy-free? Baby gates are your new best friend. Keep your pup safe and contained!

4. **Clear the Floor!** Anything small that can be swallowed—think socks, toys, or even the TV remote—needs to be picked up. If it’s on the floor, it’s fair game!

5. **Check Your Plants!** Some houseplants are a big no-no for pups. If you’ve got any toxic plants around, move them up high where those little paws can’t reach.

6. **Rubbish bin Defense!** Puppies love to rummage! Get a trash can with a lock or move it out of their reach so they don’t go dumpster diving.

7. **Stock Up on Toys!** Distract your puppy from chewing on your shoes by giving them plenty of toys and chews. Happy puppy, happy life!

Featuring little Chance from one of our previous litters—how cute is he?! 🐾😍 These curious pups get into everything, so puppy-proofing your home is a must before bringing one home. Ready to get started? Let’s go!🐶💥

🐾 Got a Golden Retriever that loves to dig up your backyard? 🐾

Golden Retrievers are known for their playful, friendly nature, but if you’ve got one like Nala here, you’ve probably seen their hidden talent… digging! 🏡🐕‍🦺 Luckily, Nala has her own designated dig zone, and after all her hard work, she dug the perfect spot and decided to take a nap right in it. 😴

Here’s the deal: Golden Retrievers dig for fun, to stay cool, or because they’re bored. Giving them a dedicated space to dig, like Nala’s, is a game changer for keeping the rest of your garden intact.

Want to set up a dig zone for your pup? Here’s how:

1. Create a Dig Zone: Designate an area just for your pup to dig and make it irresistible with buried toys or treats.
2. Exercise is Essential: Daily walks, playtime, and puzzle toys can help reduce boredom and digging in unwanted areas.
3. Cool Resting Spots: On hot days, dogs dig to cool off. Make sure your pup has shady, cool areas to relax, so they don’t feel the need to dig elsewhere.
4. Positive Reinforcement: When they dig in their designated area, reward them with praise or treats. Nala’s got her spot, and she loves it!

With a little training and a space of their own, you can keep your Golden happy and your yard looking great!

When it’s cold and windy outside, nothing beats a little comfort—and for Callie, that means strawberries! 🍓

Did you know strawberries are actually great for dogs too? They’re low in calories, packed with vitamins like C and K, and full of fiber to keep their tummies happy! Plus, they’re a sweet, healthy treat that helps with hydration. Callie loves her fruit, and it’s a perfect way to add some extra goodness to her day! 🐕❤️
