Paradiddle, please… time to pull back the curtain for a preview of the annual riff on the grandaddy of all jazz fests: the Monterey Jazz Festival.

Writing about jazz is like dancing about architecture, but let’s call it virtuously vibrant colors, syncopated shapes arrayed awesomely, a funky font finale.

Each year, a new visual identity plays out across elements—email, digital ads, print, posters, merch, souvenirs, and out-of-home media—with the consistency of a strong brand and a dash of playful improv. It even carries through to a painting on the main stage—the FINE team’s onsite a week early to orchestrate.
