Teacher's Pet has had an awesome year, and I’ve loved every minute of it. Moving forward, I’ll be focusing on Caridina and a few oddball Neocaridina.

All standard Neocaridina are now being taken over by Jessie at The Ray Aquariums. He’s got years (decades?) in the hobby and will be offering the same quality and care you’re used to.

I’ve been really enjoying working with Green Jelly Neocaridina Shrimp lately — they add such a fresh, luminous pop of color to a tank. They’re a newer and increasingly popular variety in the U.S. hobby, and their soft, light-green bodies have a subtle translucence similar to Blue Jelly lines. Depending on the shrimp, the color can lean more olive or closer to a brighter emerald tone, but they all keep that lighter, glassy look that shows especially well in planted setups.

Some shots from the mid grade Red Fancy Tiger tank. What makes them mid? Shells not as solid as I’d like, or the stripes aren’t as distinct and the patterning feels too blotchy. They still look great, but have to keep an eye on how to make them the best 🕵️‍♂️.
