Walking dogs on scorching hot concrete or pavement poses significant health risks. The surface temperature of pavement can soar to 145°F (63°C) or more on a hot summer day, potentially causing burns to a dog's paw pads and discomfort. Furthermore, dogs are susceptible to heat strokes when exposed to high temperatures without adequate hydration. Heat strokes can be life-threatening, and symptoms include panting, drooling, and collapse. To minimize these risks, it's recommended to walk dogs during cooler periods, such as early morning or late afternoon, when the surface temperature is lower. Additionally, ensuring dogs have access to plenty of fresh water before, during, and after walks is crucial in preventing dehydration and heat-related illnesses. By taking these precautions, dog owners can help safeguard their pets' health and well-being during hot weather.

Let's set the record straight: there is no such thing as a 'miniature Cane Corso.' Claims of a downsized Cane Corso are false and misleading. These dogs are often crossbreeds or new, unrecognized breeds being marketed as Cane Corsos for profit. This deception disrespects the breed's heritage and integrity. We must hold breeders accountable for honesty and transparency. Don't support those who prioritize profits over truth and breed integrity. A real Cane Corso is a distinct breed with its own standards – let's protect its legacy.
