It's SUMMER time! ☀️

Did you know dogs can't sweat? So how do they regulate their temperature? Dogs will regulate their body temp with panting, vasodilation and behavior changes. This is how their system operates when they get hot 🥵

Doggo Tips for Summer Time:
☀️ 1. Frequent access to fresh and clean water at all times
☀️ 2. Limit outside times to the morning and evening to avoid the high heat points of the day. An 8am daily walk is going to be better for them then a 3pm walk.
☀️ 3. Don't shave your dog from their natural coat type. Their natural coats are designed to regulate their temperature and protect themselves from overheating and sunburn. Trim them, don't shave them.
☀️ 4. Avoid asphalt and concrete when the temperature is high. When the temp is high the asphalt "cooks" and projects heat and can burn skin! If it is too hot for your hands or bare feet to touch, then it is too hot for your dog too.
☀️ 5. Water play can be a great activity to cool your dog down on a hot day!

Class begins next Tuesday, May 26th at 6pm

Our puppy class is six weeks of group training, where you and your puppy will learn the basics such as sit, down, stay, and so much more!
During this class will also go over everything puppy raising questions. From potty training to nipping, we cover it all!
