A well-rounded healthy diet for our mice! We probably take it too far, especially considering how much we spend compared to buying regular feed pellets. Mice naturally feed on grass and seeds in the wild. Those things have the natural nutrients and vitamins they need. Because we have mice at various levels of maturity we make sure they have a variety of food: oatmeal for lactating females, sunflower seeds, corn, wheat cereal (a treat), a little dog food for extra protein, and grass hay, which they eat quite a lot of. When a snake feeds on a mouse they in-turn are absorbing those nutrients, including the “contents” of the mouse. I guess you could say we have “organic” snake food!
