We took sweet, perfect Trixie to the vet last week for her spay and growth removal surgery. The surgery was successful, but, afterwards in recovery, Trixie slipped away. 🌈🙏🐾😇

When we originally took Trixie in to see the vet for vaccinations & bloodwork, her growth had seemed concerning and they suggested running tests on it after removal. They wanted to make sure it wasn't cancerous. If it was, it could spread or may already have spread to other parts of her body. Sadly, we do think that was the case and that her body just wasn't strong enough to come back.

We are so sorry, Trixie. We're so sorry that humans weren't so kind to you in your life. We're so sorry that we didn't find you sooner. We're so sorry that once we finally did, you were too sick to become fully renewed and stay a while longer. But Trixie, we are so happy to have known you. Such a sweet, loyal, loving and resilient girl despite the cruelty you faced. We know that your finders, your foster, your supporters, your vet and tech friends were truly touched by your love. We were all rooting for you, Angel. To give such a beautiful dog, inside and out, the love she truly deserved in the last days of her life is a bittersweet honor. ❤️‍🩹

You were loved, Trixie. Hope to see you again on the other side, sweetheart. We'll keep loving in your honor. 🙏🐾💛

First of all, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who donated towards Trixie's first vet visit 🥹💲 Her ears are healing and after one more deep cleansing bath, she's truly starting to feel like a new woman!

She safely landed in her wonderful new foster home with her new foster Mom, Lisa, and furry foster sister Sisi! The girls have been getting along great. Trixie has made a couple new human friends too.

Trix is scheduled to get her troublesome growth removed and spayed next week! Once she gets through healing & recovery she's going to be ready to make someone VERY lucky. She's an all around sweetheart. 💘 Despite her cruel neglect she holds so much love, hope and loyalty in her heart. She's amazing.

The ugliness of Trixie's condition and treatment is being washed away by every loving supporter. We love you guys more than you know. So does Trixie. 🐾

Yesterday was Trixie's big first vet trip! We took her down to our dear friends at Edgebrook Veterinary Clinic. Techs Hayley and Daphne fell in love with her. She is so shy but soooo sweet when she warms up. Definitely a velcro dog! She's still been staying with the incredibly kind folks who found her, but, Monday she has a meet n' greet for foster care with our friend and supporter, Lisa & her pup Sisi! 🐶 🤞

Trixie got her her first round of vaccinations, 4dx test for tick borne diseases (she's clean 🥹🙌), pre-spay bloodwork, an examination, dewormer, ear flush and creams! Her first visit ran us $420.00. Thanks again to Jesse and all our supporters who came out for our 'Par for the Pups' fundraiser. This is what your money goes to! ⛳️

She still has her spay and growth removal surgery to come! We'll be dropping some big bucks for this Momma. We couldn't help her without your love and support. Someone was so unkind to this sweet dog and it breaks our hearts. But to make up for the cruelty, we couldn't be more proud of all the good people (like you) who make the wrongs right again. Thanks to our supporters for keeping our World turning. 🌎

Secretary Leanna, Treasurer Taylor, President Jamie and Vice President Courtney ❤️🐾 We finally have our official board members in place and we are ready to grow our nonprofit to the best of our abilities! It takes a village, they say, and they're right.

We recently had our annual board meeting, we had a lot of awesome ideas that we brainstormed, we have duties assigned and we are ready to rock and roll. 🤙🎶

We are so glad to have you on this adventure with us! Let's change the lives of animals who wouldn't have had the chance otherwise. We can all make this World a better place. Wishbone's is truly blessed to have these dedicated ladies with pure intentions on board. 🙏

Last month we held a golf outing fundraiser (Par for the Pups) and had much success! 🥹🫶🙏💲 We wanted to give Jesse (our head volunteer & President Jamie's husband) a huuuuuuuuuge shoutout for organizing everything. With Frodo's surgery this month, a neuter surgery and welcoming a new dog (Trixie) into our rescue.....vet bills are coming!

Thank you to everyone who came out to golf, donated, helped, volunteered and enjoyed the gorgeous day with us. Also, to Victory Hills Golf Course for allowing us to throw our fundraiser, giving Frodo a huge bully stick and all the love! Tee, the sheppy who 'works' at the golf course, had a fun time with Frodo too! All good stuff. 🌞

We are truly grateful for all the acts of kindess that made this fundraiser a success. ❤️🐾

Miss Kessie has been doing sooooooooo good with her muzzle training, we are so proud of her. 🥹🙏💘

We recently ordered her a custom made/fit muzzle and are excitedly waiting for it to come in the mail. It has lots of pretty colors so she'll be lookin' real cute! It's going to be so nice to be able to safely socialize Kessie more with her foster siblings and other dogs 'beyond the baby gates'. Kessie wearing a muzzle that fits well will allow her more freedoms.

We love you, Kessie-girl.

Kessie is such a sweetheart, she's so smart and obedient......we really hope she finds her forever home soon. She deserves it and would make someone so lucky and loved.

Hi, cutie pie, Trixie 🥹💘🐾 We had the pleasure to meet this sweetheart over the weekend.

Trixie was found as a stray. She was filthy, skinny and scared. Despite her hardships she is the sweeeeeeetest girl. Her 'finders' currently have her in their care.

She's been putting weight on, has had a few baths and is being treated with love and respect. She is already feeling a lot better.

She needs fully vetted (bloodwork, meds, spay surgery, growth removal, vaccinations, ext) and we are looking for a foster or foster to adopt home for Trixie. Her finders have her now but they have a full home of animals already and can't financially afford her.

Frodo has a big surgery coming up this month to get 3 growths removed! His surgery is quoted to be around $700-$900. We're throwing an ice cream party to celebrate this special, sweet and resilient little man! Also, of course, to raise funds to help cover surgery costs. 💲🐾

Incredibly grateful to Ivys Doggie Ice Cream Pawlor for having us and helping Mr. Frodo. He sure appreciates you guys and is excited to have your delicious ice cream again! 🍦

Frodo is very lucky for Doolittle’s Pet Services too! They are eager to help raise money so that he can continue to live his happiest & healthiest life possible. 🙏
