Finished off the week cleaning out and organizing the freezers… getting ready for hides to come back from tanning and take more to be tanned. Going to be getting busy pretty soon! Going to finish off this badger shoulder mount next week then we will be 99% complete on customer pieces that we acquired before August of 2025. The 1% remaining is something we are still working the details out on.

This little guy made me get the grandma glasses out! Look at them tiny eyes…🦡👀👵🏼 stay tuned to see what we do with the back half of the badger.

Hey we just wanted to take a moment and share a few pictures of a great weekend at the New Mexico Taxidermy Association State Convention and Show in Red River…

We had an amazing time seeing people we had met a couple years ago and meeting new people. There are a lot of great taxidermists in New Mexico. We were able to take a few mini classes/seminars where we learned new techniques and can’t wait to start using them. We also enjoyed seeing and feeding the “wild”life in the area.

Finished Saturday night with a couple surprises! I really didn’t put together a “show” piece but took a Corsican Sheep up with us. We were so unsure of which division I should have be in, some had said amateur still since I hadn’t received a blue ribbon and had only been once before and others had said professional….well I ended up in amateur again. I did receive a blue ribbon this year plus Best of Category Amateur Gamehead and Best Amateur! It is nice to be recognized but those who really know me know I am not fond of being in the spotlight!

We really had a great weekend and now it’s back to the shop to get some work done. We thank you all for your support and business.

All the euros are finished and most have been picked up…. If you haven’t picked yours up yet you will have to wait till next week. Jed and I have the chance to go hunt and we are taking it! Hoping I can get me a hog! With all that being said, the shop is closed for the weekend! We thank you all for trusting us with your trophies of all shapes, sizes and species!
