🌺❤️ Happy Juneteenth from The Promised Land Farm! ❤️🌺

Today we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the legacy of our ancestors. At The Promised Land Farm, we honor this day by growing and sharing one of Juneteenth’s most cherished traditions: the red drink, made with hibiscus grown right here on our land. 🌱🍷

The bold red color symbolizes the blood, strength, and spirit of those who came before us—and hibiscus, rooted in West African tradition, continues to bloom in our gardens and in our culture.

🖤💚❤️

🌾 Happy Father’s Day from The Promised Land Farm 🌾

Today, we honor the strength, wisdom, and love of all the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who till the soil of life with patience and purpose.

We especially remember two pillars of our farm family — Uncle Bill and Uncle Bob. Their hands built more than just rows of crops. They built legacy, laughter, and a love for the land that will never fade.

This Father’s Day, we raise our hearts to the sky and our hands to the earth in gratitude for the seeds they planted — in the soil and in us.

💙 Forever in our fields. Forever in our hearts.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Uncle Bill, co-owner of The Promised Land Farm. Willie or Bill Johnson was more than a farmer- he was a cornerstone of the Montieth community and the farm's mission. His strength, wisdom, humor, and faith were rooted deep in this land and in each of us.

He believed in the promise of the farm and poured his soul into its soil. The timing of his passing, just as our community came together to plant and give life, is a reminder of the sacred cycle of sowing and legacy.

Please keep the family in your prayers as we grieve, remember, and carry on his vision.

Rest well, Uncle Bill. We’ll keep the promise alive. 🌾💛
