๐ฆ๐๐ Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Prima Vista Animal Hospital! ๐ฅง๐๐ค
Today weโre feeling extra grateful for our loyal clients, your amazing pets, and the trust you place in our team every single day. Caring for your companions is a privilege we never take for granted, and we are grateful to be part of your petsโ lives โ from their happiest moments to their toughest ones. โค๏ธ
As you celebrate, here are a few Thanksgiving pet safety reminders to keep your holiday happy and healthy:
๐ซ No cooked turkey bones โ They can splinter and cause serious internal injury.
๐ซ Skip the seasoned table scraps โ Ingredients like onions, garlic, butter, and spices can cause stomach upset or toxicity.
๐ซ Avoid giving pets fatty foods like turkey skin or gravy โ These can trigger dangerous pancreatitis.
๐ซ Keep desserts out of reach โ Chocolate, xylitol (in sugar-free products), and rich sweets are all harmful to pets.
๐ซ Watch the trash can โ Curious noses love holiday leftovers, but spoiled or toxic food can be dangerous.
๐ Safe treats instead: plain cooked turkey (no skin or bones), green beans, carrots, or a special pet-safe treat.
From our veterinary family to yours, we wish you a warm, joyful, and safe Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter, good food, and happy pets. ๐ถ๐ฑ
Weโre thankful for you โ today and every day. ๐พ๐งก
