Sunny days are for wagging tails ☀️🐾
But Florida heat can become dangerous for dogs faster than many people realize. Always make sure your pups stay cool, hydrated, and safe during outdoor playtime! 💛
🐶 Heat Safety Tips for Dogs:
• Always provide fresh, cool water
• Limit outdoor play during peak afternoon heat
• Walk early morning or later evening
• Hot pavement can burn paws — test it with your hand first
• Watch for signs of overheating: excessive panting, drooling, vomiting, weakness, glazed eyes, or lethargy
• Never leave pets in a parked car — even for a minute
• Provide shade and cooling breaks during outdoor time
If your dog seems overheated:
❄️ Move them into shade or AC immediately
💧 Offer cool (not ice-cold) water
🧊 Use cool towels on paws, belly, and neck
📞 Contact your vet if symptoms continue
Happy pups are safe pups 🐕☀️
