✨ Meet Roberto! ✨
Roberto is a 2-year-old golden retriever with a heartwarming story. He was rescued from a very tough living situation by a friend of mine I’ve known since high school. When they first brought him home, Roberto was underweight, timid, and unsure of the world around him.

Fast forward to today—he’s transformed into a happy, healthy boy who is full of love and energy. In fact, he’s so excited to meet new people that his first instinct is to jump up and say hello (we’re working on that)!

Since Roberto has never had formal training before, we’ve started working on teaching him the basics—building a strong foundation that will help him become a well-mannered and confident dog. Our focus is on channeling his enthusiasm into positive behaviors while reinforcing the trust and joy he already feels with his family.

It’s never too late to start training, and every dog—no matter their past—deserves the chance to shine. 💛

🐾 Meet Roxie! 🐾
Roxie is a 9-month-old mini schnauzer who’s been working hard on her training. At home, she’s got her basics down, but now we’re focusing on building confidence and staying calm in new environments.

For her second training session, we headed to Bass Pro Shops! 🛒🐟 Roxie handled the outing really well—she had a few anxious moments, but with redirection and encouragement, she settled beautifully. While many dogs react to the giant fish tank, Roxie couldn’t have cared less! Instead, her big challenge was working up the courage to hop onto the big display rocks. With a little patience and guidance, she found her confidence and made the jump! 💪🐾

Next up: Home Depot for even more distractions. Can’t wait to see her progress (and hopefully capture more pictures this time 😉).

✨ Meet Bodhi! ✨
This 10-week-old golden retriever just had his very first training session over the weekend, and he crushed it! 🐾

Not only is Bodhi absolutely adorable, but he’s also super chill, smart, and a quick learner. In just a few toy swaps, he picked up drop it without needing another toy in return. 🙌 He also learned how to sit and wait politely for treats, and even how to sit and wait until his food bowl touches the ground before being released to eat. 🐶🍽️

This handsome little guy made amazing progress in just one session—I can’t wait to watch him grow into a well-trained golden boy! 💛✨

🌸 Meet Willow! 🌸
Willow is a sweet and super smart 6-month-old golden retriever who’s been working hard to grow into a well-mannered young lady!

Before training, Willow spent most of her outdoor time in the backyard and had never really walked through her neighborhood. Now, we’re helping her build confidence and get desensitized to all the sights, sounds, and distractions of the outside world.

These adorable photos were sent by her owner during a little training "field trip” under the Crosstown Bridge 🐾💕 Even though new places can feel overwhelming, Willow is making amazing progress!

In four training sessions, she’s now responding to:
✨ Down • Stay • Look • Leave-It • Automatic Eye Contact when things fall • Waiting at doors • Loose-leash walking

🐾 Meet Sonny!
This 1-year-old Golden Retriever is as smart and sweet as they come — but he’s also been a little shy about the outside world.

So far, Sonny has mastered sit, down, leave-it, look, place, stay, and is even walking better on leash! But what I’m most proud of is how he’s building confidence with each session.

Not long ago, Sonny was too nervous to walk past his own property. Yesterday, he willingly explored new parts of the neighborhood — about three houses down and even across the street! 🥳 Sure, it might not sound far, but those are big steps for this gentle guy.

Confidence is like a muscle — it grows with practice, patience, and encouragement. Watching Sonny’s tail wag a little higher each time makes my heart so happy. 💛

Every dog (and human!) deserves to feel confident and joyful.

🐾 Meet Jimi!
This 6-month-old Golden Retriever is full of energy and ready to learn! His “on-the-go” personality comes from being such a smart boy who’s eager to work.

In our session yesterday, we focused on teaching Jimi to “place” on a bed, and then building up his “stay” — perfect for when his family is in the kitchen or welcoming guests.

While I forgot to snap a photo during training (shocker, I know 😅), Jimi’s dad sent me this awesome update with the caption: “Staying!!” 🥳

Getting picture updates and progress texts from owners makes my day — especially since I’m notorious for forgetting to take them myself! 📸❤️

✨ Funny how life works…

Yesterday, I posted about how I never remember to take pictures of the dogs I’m training. Well, yesterday I worked with two Golden Retrievers – Jimi and Sonny. I remembered to snap a picture of Sonny… but totally forgot with Jimi.

Later that day, Jimi’s family sent me a shot of him rocking his “stay” command. And not long after, I got photos of Willow (another Golden!) enjoying a field trip with her owner.

So in just a few hours, I went from having zero dog pictures… to photos of three beautiful Goldens. 🐾💛

Looks like the next few posts will have a Golden Retriever theme. 🐕✨

📸 True confession… I am terrible at remembering to take pictures during training sessions.
When I’m working with a dog, my brain is completely focused on their progress—not on grabbing my phone for photos or videos. I usually think about it on the way there… or after I’ve already left.

🎥 More footage from Daisy’s training adventure at Home Depot! 🛒🐾

In the first clip, you’ll see Daisy walking beautifully beside me—so well, in fact, I’m holding her leash with just one finger! 😍 She responds calmly to her cues and even holds a solid long-distance stay while I briefly walk out of sight—with a complete stranger at the other end of the aisle! 👏

In the second clip, Daisy takes it up a notch, holding a very long-distance stay in a completely different part of the store. 💪 This girl is gaining confidence and proving how far she’s come with her focus and obedience—even in a distracting, real-world environment.

Way to go, Daisy! 🌟
