📸🐾 Want Your Pup to Sit Pretty for Pictures? We Can Help! 🐾📸

One of my past training clients recently hired a professional photographer for her daughter's Sweet 16 photoshoot and wanted her beloved dogs to be part of the memories. To help make those picture-perfect moments happen, she brought me in to assist with handling, positioning, and cueing the dogs throughout the session.

Before the shoot, the photographer showed me examples of the poses they wanted to capture. While the photographer focused on getting the birthday girl in position, I worked behind the scenes helping the dogs stay calm, focused, and exactly where they needed to be. From posing together to maintaining attention from behind the camera, teamwork made all the difference!

Seeing the final photos come together was incredibly rewarding, and it's a great reminder that training isn't just for everyday manners—it's also what makes special moments like these possible.

🐾 Meet Winnie! 🐾

This adorable 1-year-old long hair dachshund just completed her very first training session with Ruff To Regal K9 Dog Training! 💜

Winnie’s owners reached out for help with chewing on things, potty training, darting out the front door, and learning her basic commands. Since they live near a busy road, teaching safe door manners is especially important for this little girl!

During her session, Winnie worked on:
✨ Learning the verbal + hand signal for “sit”
✨ Practicing “wait” for treats while introducing a release word
✨ Learning to “wait” politely at the sliding glass door until released to walk through

Miss Winnie definitely showed off her dachshund stubbornness 😅 but she is already catching on quickly! With consistency, patience, and practice, I know she’ll be going from ruff to regal in no time 👑🐶

From Ruff To Regal — Cookie graduated with a field trip to Academy Sports 🎓✨

For Cookie’s final training session, we took his skills out into the real world for a public training adventure! From practicing loose leash walking and focus around distractions to working on calm manners in a busy environment, he did an amazing job 💜🐶

Field trips like these are such an important part of training because they help dogs learn how to stay confident, calm, and well-mannered outside of the home — even with exciting smells, people, carts, and distractions everywhere 👏🐾

So proud of all the progress Cookie has made throughout his training journey! Keep up the amazing work sweet boy! ✨🐕
