Hello there everyone who has orders this week. We received this notification from our shipping partner Reptiles Express. I will be sending out emails to everyone who is expecting deliveries this week. Thank you for your understanding

We unfortunately had quite a few shipments last week that resulted in multiple day delays, despite the severe weather warnings we posted on our website, so hopefully posting here will garner more attention.

Please do not ship!

Due to the severe weather, the Memphis hub is backlogged, so delays are expected as they try to catch up. We are also expecting to see delays throughout the entire FedEx system because of this. There are also many areas still dealing with the after effects of flooding and/or tornados.

Live arrival insurance will remain off for now.

If you choose to ship against our recommendations, please know you are doing so at your own risk and will not qualify for any reimbursement, should there be a delay.

🕷️✨ Jumping spiders are already some of the cutest and most charismatic spiders around, but have you ever noticed their colorful chels? These tiny, fang-like mouthparts come in a dazzling array of metallic greens, blues, purples, and even pinks!

🕷 What Are Chelicerae?
Chelicerae or chels are the mouthparts that house a spider’s fangs.

✨They help jumping spiders capture prey, inject venom to help them eat, and even communicate during courtship or territorial displays.

✨Not only can the color of a spider change from molt to molt, but so can their chels!

✨ Male Regal Jumping Spiders will typically have green or blue chels, while females can have an array of colors.

✨ Structural Colors – Unlike pigment-based colors, the metallic sheen of chelicerae comes from microscopic structures that reflect light, much like butterfly wings!
