▪️PSA- THERE'S NO SUCH THING▪️

YES, You can find free to good home horses all day everyday. YES, You can find horses for a couple hundred at almost every auction.

🔸️IMPORTANT NOTE:THE LEAST YOU WILL EVER PAY IS THE PURCHASE PRICE.🔸️

Can you find rideable and safe horses for free or super cheap? YES, If you're in the right place at the right time. Kid/begginer safe? Fully trained and push button? Show ready? Maybe, but doubtful.

There is nothing wrong with not having a large sum to purchase a horse. It doesn't mean you can't financially afford their upkeep. There aren't alot of people who have hundreds or thousands of dollars sitting around.

However, to expect to find a horse that requires no vetting, no training or refreshers, is bombproof and kid safe is ridiculous. People pay thousands for horses that still need 90 days professional training. Keep your expectations realistic, and know that most people giving away (or selling cheap) a horse arent 100% honest. Be ready to put in work and know that the work you put into your new horse will help build that bond.

Not a single person is perfect, so why do we expect animals to be?

Rosie Pope the Animal Whisperer

Rosie Pope has been an advocate for the animal kingdom for as long as she can remember. She began horse riding lessons at a young age which sparked her interest in the equestrian field. She competed in a few shows in high school and mucked stalls in exchange for riding lessons. Rosie knew she wanted to help animals ever since she could talk, but horses were her true passion. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Equine Studies in 2019. She is certified in Equine Massage Therapy and graduated Dr. Tucker’s equine horsemanship dentistry school the same time she graduated college. Her goal in life is to help animals anyway she can and does this by providing preventative dental care to horses, and relieving sore muscles in massage.
