Here are 2 more dogs located on the Treasure Coast that need a new home. It's a messy situation but basically the owner became ill and can no longer care for them.

As I was walking to my front door tonight after work, I noticed something moving on the sidewalk. I nearly stepped on it.

This sweet little baby dove appeared to have been blown out of its nest on this breezy day. I saw a nest high up in the tree, there was no way I could reach it and this baby was definitely too young to be on its own, so I was going to take it to Creature Safe Place in Ft Pierce. Sadly though, this baby didn't make it.

Life isn't fair. Nature can be cruel. But this baby had someone who cared enough to try and save it ❤️

I haven't been to the shelter for a few weeks due to the start of the renovation project, and boy do I miss those dogs!

Both of my dogs came from the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, and they were the best pets I could ask for. There are many more just like them waiting for their second chance to find their forever family.

We are very fortunate to have such caring shelters in our area - Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, Humane Society of St Lucie County, and Fort Pierce Animal Adoption Center, just to name a few. If you are looking to add a new family member, rescue pets are the best!

This is my view for the next 27 days while I pet sit for Copper.

I first met Copper last Thanksgiving. She is very choosy about who she allows to care for her, so I guess I passed her test because I'm baaaaack!

Her family is vacationing overseas, so I have my laptop, books, beverages, bathing suit, and lots of dog treats for this early summer staycation.
