Many of you may have seen the realtor’s listing for the PJ Dog & Co. building and are wondering what’s going on. I wanted to clear up any confusion and share the news with you personally.

After many sleepless nights and a great deal of thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to close PJ Dog & Co. later this year.

Owning two pet stores has been an amazing experience, but splitting my time between two locations has become increasingly difficult. My staff deserves more from me. My customers deserve more from me. And I’ve come to the realization that, as one person, I simply can’t give both stores everything they deserve.

This decision allows me to devote my full attention to all, where I’ll continue doing what I love- helping pets and the people who love them. The self-serve dog wash will also be relocating to Milford Pet Supply, so it will continue to be available there.

We’re not closing today, and we’ll continue serving you just as we always have. I’ll share more details as we get closer to our final day.

To every customer who has walked through our doors, supported our small business, trusted our recommendations, shared stories and photos of your pets, or simply stopped in to say hello- thank you! You helped make PJ Dog & Co. what it is, and I’ll always be grateful for the friendships and memories we’ve made together.

👋 Meet the Face Behind the Care: Why I Went Mobile

If we haven't met yet during a home visit, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share how Faithful Companion Pet Care, LLC came to be.

My name is Jade, and I am a Licensed Veterinary Technician. My journey in the veterinary field started when I was just 16 years old, and I’ve spent the last 20+ years working in various fields of veterinary medicine.

Over the years, I formed wonderful bonds with specific patients and their owners. Eventually, some of those clients started asking if I could come to their homes to help with their pets' routine care, especially the ones who were senior, highly anxious, or just too big to travel easily.

The moment I started helping animals in their own environments, I realized how much the stress completely melted away for them. I fell in love with this style of personalized, low-stress care and realized it was something our community really needed.

That’s why I decided to start a mobile service. My goal is simply to bring professional veterinary nursing care right to your doorstep, where your pets feel the safest.
