"I’m from Brownsville and our vet at Boca Chica Animal Hospital refused to see our pet Lucy. I called PI Animal Clinic to see if they could examine my her. They not only said yes, they stayed open 20 extra minutes to give us time to get there. They have excellent customer service and explained every detail to us!! We will be forever grateful. The vet was very knowledgeable. They did the ear culture test on-site. Got us the medications. We were in -and-out within 30 minutes. The pricing was very reasonable. Port Isabel Animal Clinic will be closed on July 4th in honor of Independence Day. Make sure to keep your furry friends 🐶🐱 inside away from the loud noises 🎇 and bright lights of fireworks displays as they can be startling and stressful for pets. Keep your pets comfortable indoors with some toys, treats and favorite blankets. If your pet seems anxious due to firework sounds, try playing soothing music or turning on the TV to mask the noises. Though it's a celebration for humans, July 4th can be scary for our animal companions. So, this Independence Day, keep your pets safe and secure

Our furry friends need us to be proactive 🐾. As season is approaching let's ensure our pets are ready for any disruptions. Check in with us here at Port Isabel Animal Clinic to make sure vaccinations 💉 are up to date and get a written record to bring with you if needed. Ask your vet about medications that can ease travel anxiety in case of evacuation. Having a pet first aid kit 🐶 and familiarizing your pet with their carrier now will help tremendously if you need to leave quickly. And don't forget to update microchips and ID tags with current contact info in case you get separated 🙏. By planning ahead and preparing our pets we can face whatever storms may come, together.
