Yay!!!

Great News!

Just moments ago, our department’s drone, operated by Officer Ty Klapp, successfully located Montana, the missing dog, in the woods near the water tower in the Village of Lakemore. Using thermal imaging, Officer Klapp spotted Montana running in circles and was able to direct searchers on foot to her exact location.

After two days loose and on the run (including out in the storm last night), Montana is now safely back home with her family. We are grateful for a successful outcome and appreciate everyone who assisted in the search!

Today we honor the bravery of our four-legged heroes. We reflect on their valor, pay tribute to those that have passed, and acknowledge the tireless efforts of active duty service dogs.

K9 Veterans Day is an annual celebration of the remarkable contributions of military and service dogs. From the battlefields to search and rescue operations, to supporting law enforcement, these dogs play an indispensable role. Today we honor their sacrifices, dedication, and the invaluable services they provide.

UPDATE: REUNITED!! Steel is home safe & sound after 16 days, 2 hours :)

Please spread the word for this lost dog. Steel was LOST on February 15, 2025 in Cleveland, OH 44103 near E 83rd Street

Message from Owner: Steel has not had an easy life. My friend and I help his owner with feeding daily and housing. We believe he will eventually surrender him and another dog (spayed female). It appears Steel found a hole in the fence. Our hearts are breaking for him. Thank you for sharing.



Description: Brown Brindle Pitbull with white nose, chest and feet. He is not neutered. He may run from people so please do not chase. I'm sure he is scared, he has never been off the property in his entire life.
