Our beautiful girl IVY has successfully had her first heart worm fast kill injection, her treatment was sponsored by Mardi Paws and Stullar Family Foundation, what a beautiful gift for the shelter dogs. Let us share that anytime we call Mardi Paws, they are there for everything. We are so thankful for all of their assistance and being their for us and our fur babies! Also, to Jenny Guidry for all your help in coordinating everyone's visits etc. yall are the best.

🚨 Ivy is scheduled for a fast kill injection on August 17, 2026. 🚨
She has waited...
Not for days.
Not for weeks.
Over a year.
She entered boarding on October 14, 2024, and she's still there.
Imagine watching hundreds of sunrises and sunsets from the same kennel. Listening as other dogs leave while you stay behind. Watching every visitor walk past your kennel, hoping they'll stop... only to hear their footsteps fade away again.
That has been Ivy's life.
No one knows how she ended up alone in a McDonald's parking lot in Opelousas. Maybe she was lost. Maybe she was abandoned by the only family she ever knew.
A kind person tried to help her, but with multiple dogs in the home, Ivy became overwhelmed. One scuffle changed everything.
Since then...
A kennel has been her world.
Ivy isn't the dog who jumps up begging to be noticed.
She isn't loud.
She isn't demanding.
She's the quiet soul sitting in the corner, hoping someone will finally see past the kennel door.
When you reach out to pet her, she gently closes her eyes.
As if she's memorizing what love feels like.
As if she's afraid it won't last.
She doesn't ask for much.
Just a gentle hand.
A soft voice.
A safe place to finally exhale.
