Let's talk about RYKER 💔

Ryker's whole world was turned upside down, then he was given up on all together.

This big ol boy had rescue acceptance and then out of no where his health started going down hill.

He has advanced heart worms and has a heart murmur. Ryker is going to Rice City Animal Hospital for an ultrasound Wednesday to see the extent of the damage. He could sure use some prayers. Thank you!

We first became aware of Bowsers plight from people calling he was wandering in and out of traffic on Hwy 190. A trap had to be set and it took 3 days but he finally gave in.
No one has called or came to claim this sweetheart. He is looking for his forever home, please let it be with you.

She is such a beauty and so sweet. Patches was scared at the pound.
She gets along with all the dogs shes been around at the pound and in the transport van.

Poor girl has been failed twice by 2 different families.
1. Daisy was adopted and returned the same day...too much energy was the reason
2. Daisy was adopted again, then she was called in as a stray. She was in fact not UNREAL.
We are done with that, and time to move on to finding a fabulous forever or rescue for this girl. She is the best girl!

No food issues with people. She hasn't been fed around the other dogs yet.
Great with dogs/kids so far. Lola Mae has met a few of the other dogs here and was fine. Shared a water bowl. She is a little jumpy but not crazy. Lola sends her love and kisses to everyone who has helped her on the road to recovery.

This girl will plop on a dime for a belly rub and she loves everyone.
She is great with other dogs and kids.
Darcy was picked up as a stray on busy Highway 190 and seemed to have had puppies around that time, no puppies were ever found.
She is a cuddler, she wants to be with people and is a pretty chill dog. Definitely made for indoors, and she is kennel trained.

**IVY HAS HAD NO ISSUES SINCE GOING TO BOARDING**

She is a shy girl, so gentle, she needs a loving family to call her own.
Ivy was found at Mc Donald's in Opelousas and brought to the finders home in Port Barre.
She and one of the many resident dogs got into a fight and Ivy had to go and here we are.
It was probably due to a moment of being overwhelmed, however it would be recommended she be a only dog or a very slow introduction, and not too many animals.
When you pet her she closes her eyes she loves people.
She would best in a only dog home....she loved 2 of our co workers children..... She was found at a Mc Donalds parking lot. Lost? Dumped we will never know and no one has called for her.
She needs rescue, or one amazing foster or family.

We had a blast in our little towns Christmas Parade in Port Barre. Our very own Patches was in it promoting the plight of homeless animals, just like she is. Special thank you to our volunteers and LaDonna Hawthorne for being our chauffer. We cant wait to do it again.
