Morel Compass Mushrooms and Company Working with our fungal allies to turn the waste in our life into a beautiful soil for us to grow delicious food, medicine, health and happiness.

The Morel Compass is an urban mushroom farm in Port Angeles Washington, trying to transform a extraction based society towards a circular economy, by growing delicious gourmet mushrooms on local agricultural and forestry waste, and then further turning that waste into healthy soil to enhance local gardens.

Excited to be teaming up with Olympic Roots.

I’m excited to announce a partnership with Lily Athair of Morel Compass Mushroom & Company! We are working together to bring you a mushroom growing class that will teach you everything you need to know to start growing mushrooms at home right away.

Lily has been cultivating and foraging mushrooms on the peninsula for years, and is delighted to share her knowledge with the community. We are offering a three part class to help you learn to grow mushrooms at home. Check out the events page at https://www.olympicroots.com/upcomingevents for more information and to sign up.

In each class you will gain firsthand knowledge about how to cultivate mushrooms in your own backyard (or on your countertop!) Each participant will leave with the skills and materials to begin growing mushrooms right away.
