Happy December!

We know this time of year gets busy, but while you’re out shopping and soaking up the holiday season, we’d love for you to take a moment to think about pets in need. ❤

WAG (Welfare for Animals Guild) has set up a Giving Tree here at the clinic, and we’ll be sharing one item a day to highlight how you can help. Today we are sharing Jack (check out those teeth!) and his request for durable toys!

If you’d like to participate, simply drop off donations here at Olympic Veterinary Clinic or place them in WAG’s donation box.

Thank you for helping us spread a little extra kindness this season! 🐾✨

November is National Senior Pet Month!

As you get older, have you noticed some chronic aches and pains that make your day-to-day a little less enjoyable? Have you noticed you are a little more stiff getting up in the mornings, like you have to warm your bones up before you can begin your day? Your pets may be feeling the same way! As our pets age they may suffer from the same ailments that we as humans suffer from, including, but not limited to: arthritis, cancer, heart disease and even cognitive dysfunction.
It is important to not assume certain changes in your pet are just due to old age.

The more often you bring your pet to the vet and do diagnostics, the more likely we are to notice if something is skewing away from normal. Maybe a liver enzyme that has historically been normal, has slowly started elevating, and now we can start the appropriate medications before its too severe to intervene.

Many of these conditions cause pain, inappetence, lethargy and more which is why during the month of November we are doing $15 off of senior (7+) annual exams if you mention this post. Help us help your pet this November!
