A surgery is more than just the procedure. ❤🐾

Every patient starts with a full nose to tail exam and pre anesthetic labwork to make sure they are ready for surgery. During the procedure they are carefully monitored by our trained team in a fully equipped, designated surgical suite.

After surgery pets go home with pain medications clear recovery instructions and our continued follow up care so you are never on your own in the healing process.

And for our flat faced friends (yes, we are looking at you Frenchies 🐶) we even have an oxygen cage available for extra support when they need it.

We are proud to take this kind of care with every patient who walks through our doors 💙

Today is National Pet Insurance Day! Getting pet insurance can be SO overwhelming with so many different options and advertisements floating around these days. We have been recommending using Pawlicy Advisor to help you choose which pet insurance to use. It's super easy to sign up and will help you compare quotes and coverage all in one place.
**It is important to note that most insurances work on a reimbursement basis where we collect payment at time of service and send you with an itemized invoice to submit to your insurance for coverage.

Lou is wheeling full speed into the weekend! 🐾

Lou is Dr Sandy's new dog. He was being fostered by our friends at Sunset Hill Veterinary & Rehabilitation Center, Sandy saw one picture of him and said "I'll take him"! He’s thriving with his new wheels and living life to the fullest! Only occasionally slowed down by a chair… or your foot… or... a corner...... or.... well… not much else! 😄

Macadamia nuts are a big no for dogs! Macadamias can affect the nervous system and may interfere with muscle control and body temperature. Even after only eating a few nuts, affected dogs may show weakness, shaking or difficulty walking. Toxicity varies so please call us as soon as possible if you think your pet has ingested macadamia nuts (or any other potential toxin). We will be able to help triage your pet to see if they require medical intervention.

Side note- Unsalted peanuts are safe in small quantities, but are too fatty to make a regular snack.
