Rue is a 2.5-year-old male Malinois with the genetics, drives, and training foundation to excel as a personal protection dog or a hobby sport dog.

He is a social, stable dog that enjoys being out in public, is environmentally sound, and settles well in the home. Rue is confident around people and comfortable in a variety of settings, making him an easy dog to live with while still possessing the drives needed for serious work.

Rue has high hunt drive and is imprinted on narcotics, making him a strong candidate for detection work. He actively searches, enjoys the hunt, and brings intensity and focus to the task.

In protection work, Rue demonstrates a full, pushing grip and naturally targets well. He engages confidently and transitions easily to hidden equipment, showing commitment to the man rather than relying solely on visible equipment. He is an active, willing worker that brings intensity without sacrificing clarity.

Rue has both on- and off-leash obedience and understands how to work while maintaining control. He is not suitable for homes with cats or small prey animals.
