We know that even though we may have been "competition" for them, they too were disappointed to see us close our doors because that's how good business folks are when these types of things happen. Hey fair people! Just a few more days until you're loading up those prize winning animals!!! Wanted to let you know we did try to get into the fair to make things easier for you, but it didn't work out. We are really sorry for the inconvenience and wanted to make that happen. Just wanted you to be aware of that in case you were planning on picking up feed or shavings while at the fair. Again, not the way we wanted it. =( Now, go win those pretty ribbons!

Good morning dear friends! This is a difficult post for us this morning but a needed one. We want to publicly share that Poplar Grove Feed's last day to be open will be August 16th, 2014 closing at 12:30pm. Please know that this decision has been made with much careful consideration. We know this store has been around for almost forever, having been cared for by several owners, but with changing times, the local feed store is struggling to compete with the larger, multipurpose establishments. We cannot even begin to tell you how appreciative we are of those of you who have been extremely loyal customers and friends, sharing your experience with others trying to help generate trust in our store. A huge THANK YOU! In the mean time, we are here for YOU and will continue to have on hand what we normally do. And if you still want to special order something that option is still available to you. It is our desire to provide everything we have been up until our last day. Again, a very very big thank you to all of you. Poplar Grove Feed (and all previous names of business) would not have been possible, even in the least, without YOU the customer, and friend. We are so grateful and blessed.
