☀️ Summer Heat Safety Reminder for Pets! 🐾

As temperatures rise, it’s important to keep your furry family members safe and comfortable. Always provide plenty of fresh water, access to shade, and avoid outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day. Never leave pets unattended in a vehicle, even for a few minutes.

Watch for signs of overheating such as excessive panting, drooling, weakness, or vomiting. If you suspect heatstroke, seek veterinary care immediately.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and enjoy a safe summer with your pets! ❤️🐶🐱

🐾 Please help us welcome two new doctors to Hillcrest Animal Hospital!

We are excited to introduce Dr. Tara McDaid and Dr. Taylor Spencer, who are joining our team this June.

Dr. McDaid has been in veterinary medicine since high school and has worked in nearly every role in a clinic. A 2026 graduate of the University of Missouri, she has a strong passion for surgery and loves learning new procedures. Outside of work, she enjoys printmaking, arts and crafts, and creek walks.

Dr. Spencer, also a 2026 graduate of the University of Missouri, is passionate about providing compassionate, relationship-driven care and treating every patient like her own pet. In her free time, she enjoys family time, board games, and trips to the river.

We’re so excited to have them both on board — be sure to say hello at your next visit! 🐶🐱
