We are 4 weeks today. Mum said we needed a bath and we found out that was not fun at all. First with the water than that loud blowing air thing that was scary. She said we were okay and we had to start getting used to weekly bathing. But don't we look sooo cute after 🥰

Tongue out Tuesday from the past .
This was a puppy photo of now retired Mr. Bojangles I miss my retirement dogs more than any puppy . I love each of them but know that as they retire I can't keep everyone of them. Because they all deserve to have that one on time that I can't always provide among all my dogs and farm critters. But they are always in my head wondering if they are getting the love that I poured into them while they were with me. Just all up in my feels today I guess. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m not trying to be dramatic but this is one of those things I feel like more dog owners should know.

Sugar-free gum and candy?
Super dangerous for dogs.

The ingredient is called Xylitol (sometimes you’ll see it listed as birch sugar).

And it’s in way more stuff than you’d think:
• gum
• mints
• sugar-free candy
• protein bars
• some peanut butters
• even toothpaste

In dogs, xylitol can mess with their blood sugar really fast.
Way faster than you’d expect.

You might see things like:

• throwing up
• acting weak or “off”
• stumbling around
• seizures

And in worse cases, it can actually affect their liver.

And it doesn’t take a lot.

A couple pieces of gum can be enough depending on the dog.

This is one of those things you don’t think twice about until you know
and then you’re like “oh wow I need to move that immediately.”

Because let’s be honest:

• gum in your purse
• candy in the car
• random snacks on the counter

All it takes is one curious dog.

If your dog ever gets into anything sugar-free…

Don’t wait it out.
Don’t hope for the best.

Call your vet or an emergency vet right away.

This is one of those situations where timing actually matters.
Not trying to scare anyone just one of those “hey, keep this on your radar” things.
