Upland Brittanys is a provider of breeding services, primarily offering dogs at stud, although we may have an occasional breeding (litter) ourselves. We also help facilitate breedings and assist in finding available puppies from other reputable breeders. Those that are sound in temperament, health and structure. Brittanies that are excellent hunting companions as well as competitive field dogs. B

It is with a broken heart that I write this. Tuesday we had to say goodbye to our very best boy at 16y 3mos.

There is so much I could say about Rook - from his accolades in the ring and field to his beautiful and talented off spring, but what will forever standout about this handsome boy is his engaging, entertaining and robust personality. Always happy, often naughty, but every time he would charm his way out of trouble for his indiscretions. Driven by FOMO, he was alert, curious, extremely nosey, and always by our side. Quite vocal, he sang to sirens, howled when his “girl friends” departed and unlike any other dog in my life, it felt like you could literally have a two way conversationwith him. Rook’s last months/days were in true accordance with how he lived life, he NEVER gave up…. that is until his body finally did. 💔RIP sweet boy. Photo bomb to follow:

Upland Brittanys and KaLa Kennels is proud to introduce our newest addition, ‘Lake.’ Registered name still in progress. Lake is pick puppy from the Annie x Rook repeat litter. Bred by Kassie Hamaker, Victoria and Vivian Murphy and myself. He is EVERYTHING we hoped he would be and more. Kassie, I can’t thank you enough for raising such a sweet, confident and well adjusted puppy. Lake moved right in like he’d always been here. Dad and brother were excited at first, but some how that novelty has worn off. 😂

So proud of this Rook son and all he has accomplished! Most of his days have been spent in the field with his owner/trainer Mike Moser. Mike’s determination and work ethic are unparalleled. Knox, GCH Sandstone Riding The Cushion MH UT1, has a heart of gold and delivers whatever is asked of him. He is one of a handful of Brittanys to earn NAVHDA’s top prize, UT1, and did so with an almost perfect score. He may be the only one in standard to do so. Clean him up and throw him back in the ring and a couple weekends later he is now a GCH. Kudos to Mike and Jen. Many thanks to Rachel Kulp for presenting this busy boy to perfection. You’ve had a lot of practice with his relatives over the years! 😂 With Janet Ranney Emma Ranney.

The “All That Jazz”- ROOK x DAILY- litter is 3 weeks old, eyes are opened, up and moving, and occasionally finding their little voices. What do you do when the parks and beaches are all closed? You sit. And wait. Hours on end. For lizards to come out and play. A game they surely won’t like. Held captive in a dog’s mouth. Hoping for the hooman to come release them. 🐶🦎🐶
