I read this and it hit home. Some of y'all know, but I never announced it. We lost Jasper shortly after this past hunting season. He was one of my first hounds, and was my most faithful hunting partner for over 10 years. The woods wont be the same without him next season. But my entire pack was trained by him, and I still have one dog carrying his bloodline. So we will continue on and just be thankful for the time and hunts we had with him.

Caught my two gyps this morning. Still have two males left out. Jasper, who is a lemon-spotted Beagle-Walker mix and Leroy, a mostly white, tri-color Beagle-walker mix. 9 days out so far.

Got 4 hounds out and missing. Turned them loose to hunt last Friday morning in Portland/Basin Bayou area. One of their packmates was caught on Eglin near the interstate yesterday. If anyone finds them, please catch them and call me. Dogs have tracking collars, but batteries are dead at this point.
