Adding pool noodles to the harness to simulate the shafts of a cart. Another lesson learned is that the other horses were terrified of a tiny pony with green flappy things on him.

Foxy gets new clothes! He stood quietly while being fitted. We took a walk so that he would get accustomed to the feel of the harness on his body. So far so good!

So after a 10 day delay courtesy of the USPS, the Yonies harness arrived. It is a good thing that I have experience with harnesses because every single piece was separate. Foxy was a good pony and stood quietly while it was pieced together on his body. He tolerated his new clothes well so we went for a walk so that he can get accustomed to the feel. He is stinking cute in this.

Foxy is a 20 or 24 year old gelding whose owners at Diamond TR Ranch say is a superbrat/delinquent. His history includes being the cutest little thing, a lesson pony for small children and a teaser stud for mares that he was too small to, er, service. He has attitude.

He needs a job and I need the exercise. This is the story of our progress. Comments, encouragement and gentle criticism are welcome.
