Good afternoon, Ponca City...

Fresh Sourdough loaves have been delivered to Rikkis Market . We will be on vacation next week, but we will still have a small amount of bread available in store. This will be the last week we make our Sampler Boxes full time, delivering tomorrow. We will still accept pre orders for them anytime, we just don't have the time or space right now to make so many weekly.

Our boys leave for summer camp Sunday, we will be extra busy this week preparing them for the week ahead, so if you msg us, please give us a little extra time to respond. Thank you for all the support to our small business.

Monday's supply run was a total flop, but today the kid and I made up for it in a big way. We scored a haul of epic proportions - 350 pounds of flour, a ton of fresh veggies and herbs, 40 pounds of butter, and a whole lot more. Our small home bakery has a major flour addiction, going through over 150 pounds a week, so we're all about buying in bulk. On our City adventures, we always try to mix it up with a new spot, and today we hit up Pops 66 in Arcadia for a sugar rush of sodas. The flavor options were crazy overwhelming, but we picked up a few to try, including the truly bizarre spaghetti soda. Yeah, that's a thing but no one has had the gut to try it yet 😅....

With that being said we will have fresh bread back at Rikkis Market tomorrow.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are experiencing difficulties in locating some of our primary ingredients due to the holiday weekend. Consequently, our bread delivery will be delayed by an extra day or two. We anticipate visiting The City again today or tomorrow to secure the necessary items, pending the arrival of their delivery trucks. We'll be back baking soon 😊

We will not be baking Monday due to my birthday, we will be back to delivering breads on Wednesday. We will also be closed the whole week of June 8th-15th, so if bread is something you will need at that time, please pre-order, and we can get it baked and ready for you. Did you know you can freeze sourdough, and it's still extremely delicious? There are also other small benefits to freezing sourdough besides preserving it. When you freeze bread, it makes a resistant starch. Resistant straches have small benefits to those with insulin resistance, making frozen sourdough easier on your blood sugar. Resistant starches also help balance gut bacteria, the mircobes living in your colon get nutrients from those resistant straches. Some studies state it might even lower cholesterol. Fresh sourdough benefits are great all the time, but don't ever hesitate to throw a loaf in the freezer and let it add some resistant starches. I include instructions on my loaves on how to thaw and reheat like it just came out of the oven.

Say no more because we've added S'more to our Sampler Boxes. Sourdough loaf filled with marshmallows, chocolate chips and chocolate sauce then baked and topped with graham crackers, chocolate chips and more toasty marshmallows. We have 4 boxes available as we are trying it out to see how well they go over. In our house the kids listed it as their favorite flavored Sourdough 😋 Remember you can always pre-order if there is something you'd like that's not available.

Sorry for the inconvenience but there will be a much later bread delivery today. Between Mother's day and my follow up doctor's appointments we had a late start to making bread. We will have it ready and delivered ASAP. Thanks for understanding.
