🚨🚨🚨 It's finally game time!!🚨🚨🚨
Next scheduled show: Sunday April 6th!!!
*UPDATED Know Before You Go*
WE HAVE TIMERS!!! But we do not yet have a display board. Everyone can download the app and see the run times from there. The attached picture shows the app, and once the timers are on, you can click on 'Continue without an Account' and it will find the timers and show the times.
1. Parking: There are 3 gates that enter the fairgrounds. One on Broad Street and two on 2nd Street. TWO of these gates will be open for parking this Sunday: the one gate on Broad Street, near the horse barn, and the top 2nd Street gate, closest to the intersection with Broad St. There will be attendants at both gates from 10 am to 11:45 am to help answer any questions and guide you as needed. The grounds are wet the lower you go, so our goal is to park farther up the hill and avoid getting stuck (we DO NOT have machines available to help get you unstuck 😳)
2. Registration: Cash only registration will be available at the small building located beside the arena. Please bring copies of current coggins and flu/rhino vaccines. If your information is digital on your phone, please have that available for registration to view and verify. You can still send these ahead of time to our email: [email protected]. All riders/guardians will be required to sign a liability waiver before each show.
3. Kitchen: The fairgrounds kitchen will open at 12pm and run through the day. Credit cards can be used in the kitchen!
4. Games: We will play 5 games. The patterns are shared here so feel free to save the photo to look over on show day!
5. Attire: Please wear close-toed shoes while riding for safety. Other than that? Casual and comfortable!!
6. Arena Buffer Area: There is an area in front of the main entrance to the arena that is 'fenced off' with orange hurricane fencing. This buffer area is for the upcoming three riders. When your name is announced as an upcoming rider, you can make your way to the buffer area so we can keep the show moving smoothly. Please also be courteous of the area that leads into and out of this buffer area and try to make room for riders to get through.
7. Race Track and Fairground Rules: Horses can be ridden all over the fairgrounds, but please keep them at a WALK when they are outside of the arena. DO NOT walk on the race track except to cross it; we are not permitted to walk around the race track, only to cross it directly.
8. Cleanup: Please clean up after your horse. There will be a dump cart and pitch fork available beside the arena to use as needed in that area.
9. Helmets: It is a law that ALL riders under the age of 18 MUST wear a helmet when riding anywhere on the grounds. If you are on a horse, you must have a helmet on your head!
10. Dogs: While we all have dogs we love, we ask you to leave them home for the day. Dogs are not permitted at the show, not even kept in your vehicle. Please do not bring dogs unless they are a registered service dog. Proof must be shown at the registration booth.
11. Geese: There are so many geese and they have so many nests! Please stay vigilant while riding around the grounds and avoid them as much as possible.
We share the grounds with many other organizations and activities and it is important for us to keep the grounds as clean as possible and follow the basic rules they have asked of us.
Please also keep in mind that while most of us have participated in game shows at other locations, this will be our first season running a series and our goal is to make this as fun and successful as possible! If you have any helpful suggestions for us as the season goes on, please feel free to share them so that we can improve!
We look forward to seeing you all!!!
