Beautiful weekend to be working on some horses! Absolutely love getting to show the younger kiddos exactly what’s going on inside of a horses mouth and why routine maintenance is essential!!

ā—ļøA few important thingsā—ļø

We sre creeping up on foxtail season very quickly. Please please check your hay! Foxtail is extremely painful to your equine. If you have a horse with foxtail give me a call and we will get em taken care of!

On another note. Some of you don’t know I have a full time job outside of floating teeth… Unfortunately that means I’m booking out a little ways during these more busy times. I always do my best to get everyone in as quickly as possible. Please be mindful when scheduling that I am just one person. If you have several needing done it’s always best to book in advance.😊

Great weekend for floating teeth! Good horses and nice weather just makes It that much better!🄰

ā€¼ļøPSAā€¼ļø

I would like to come on here and inform all of my existing and new clients that in August I will be starting back school… Along with still working at the vet clinic and raising puppies.

I will continue to book apts during this time. HOWEVER, I will have to spend a lot of time studying and doing school work to be successful in class.. So this will leave me with limited time for booking..

If you would like to get on my schedule for the upcoming months please message me! I will only be doing dental days about two to three times a month. If you have a horse you absolutely need done asap please message me and I will try to get you in as soon as possible! Or at the very least I can refer you to another really good dental technician for the time being!

I hope to be back to fully booking appointments like normal in march of 2026! Please bare with me during this time but feel free to reach out at ANY time for your equine needs!!

I appreciate your support and patience during this time. It truly means a lot to me!!šŸ“šŸ’›

Now THIS is why we do what we do!!!!

I seen this mare for the first time November 28th 2023. Owner had recently got her thinking she’d be Able to put some weight on her and get her going. But in a short time they noticed she just was not able to eat properly. Dropping tons of food. Head shy. Did NOT want you messing with her mouth at all. She called me out asap and this mares mouth was So so locked up from massive hooks that were cutting into the gum tissueue above, waves, ramps and a step tooth. Done what we could at the first visit. But was not able to get everything in one visit was just too much. A few months later we went back and finished up the float. She then started packing on the weight. Now at her 3rd visit she’s in good weight. No longer head shy. Has full mobility in her grinding. And her demeanor is overall so much better!

I May be biased but seriously the most rewarding job!! Getting to help these horses come back to life Is most rewarding.

Message me to get an appointment set up for your equine friend!šŸ’›šŸ“

Favorite time of the year! Weather is getting nicer, new babies on the ground and visiting the babies that were new at last years visit!!🄰🄰
With that being said as the nicer weather is approaching, keep in mind if your horse hasn’t had a dental in a year now is the best time! Before you get into full swing with riding and getting everyone legged up do your horse a favor and make sure to have their teeth checked.
Dental issues could cause:
•Head shaking/tossing
•Trouble with the bit
•Excess saliva
•Change in performance
•Dropping feed
•Not gaining weight
•Behavior change
•Quidding
•Resistance to take the bit
And many many more issues!

Keep in mind your horse doesn’t have to be showing any symptoms to maintain a good dental routine. Most horses should be done once a year and in some cases every 6mo.
Let’s set your equine up for success this year! Message with any questions regarding dental care or wanting to schedule an appointment to have your horses teeth Floated! šŸ’›šŸ“

With the supervision of this ol barn cat we got the Job done on the OU Ponies Boomer and Sooner, along with some of their pasture mates!! Was a good day in central Oklahoma. Always a blessing to be called back out for annuals at any barn. Let your work speak for itself!!!😁😁

I got called out two weeks ago for another case of foxtail. These four horses had quite a few extremely painful ulcerations in their mouth from the bad hay.. Luckily we were able to go in and pluck out the foxtail allowing the ulcerations to heal! Today we rechecked the mouths and they are Almostt 100% healed up.
Be sure you are checking your hay thoroughly so this doesn’t happen to your herd! If you happen to have foxtail affecting your horses mouth shoot me a message and we will get them on the schedule as soon as possible!šŸ™‚
