Well it's time to tell the rest of the World. TK Hot Kennels is moving back to the Treasure Valley. It's official we sold our property in Pocatello and closed on our New Property just outside Boise today. We will miss Pocatello greatly. But a brand new grand baby makes the move so much sweeter.

As most friends of TK Hot Kennels know, we have trained A LOT of dogs for the "Trained Retrieve" Process. Recently a very good friend of mine who is also professional trainer came for a visit to our training center. He watched one of our Trained Retrieve Group Classes. In the class there were Dachunds, West Highland White Terrier, Whippet, Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, Blue Heeler, Doberman, Australian Shepherd and 1 Labrador. He was amazed at the progress of each dog. Some he thought would never be able to retrieve. He then asked how many dogs I had trained for that in my 35 years. I really didn't know so we got on our computer and put "trained retrieve" this pulls up every dog that has either gone through our Trained Retrieve Group Class or Private Lessons. Group Classes - Each Class had 15 Dogs x 6 Classes per year = 90 Dogs per Year. Trained Retrieve Group Classes starter in 1997. 90x28yrs = (2520 in Group Classes.) Private Lesson Trained Retrieve Clients averaged 18 per year going back to 1997 = (504 in Private Lessons)Then we looked up how many gundogs we have trained over the same 35 yr period (293 Gun Dogs) plus my days of training Schutzhund Dogs in the early 90's (21 Dogs Total Mostly Rottweilers at 11, 5 Dobermans, 3 German Shepherds, 2 Malinois and 1 Dutch Shepherd) plus my current dogs 7 (3- ACD's 4-GSP's) one of my employees had told me she once Calculated at over 6000. Well it is not quite that many but....... drum roll.... 3345.
Yep 3345 dog trained to retrieve. Here is the really cool part that number comes from 47 different Breeds of Dogs.
