Michi’s first picture is so very sad. This little man had to fight from day one to be here. As the runt of his litter, he was sickly, underweight, and didn’t have much energy 🥺 He would lay with his siblings like a little kitten loaf, and just watched while everyone else played.

That was mid November 👆🏻 Fast forward two months to the last two pictures 😍

Michi is such a warrior! He has gained 2 and a half pounds, LOVES to play, and loves even more to snuggle up with his favorite person. Whomever it is that adopts this sweet baby boy is in for a real treat!

🌟ADOPTION DAY SPOTLIGHT🌟

Norbert 1/10/25

Norbert (Formerly Barry) was found by 2 of my favorite people. These two live ALL the way in Gooding, and couldn’t find one rescue to take the 4 kittens they rescued from an empty field. They were very worried, and wanted to ensure they were taken care of before the cold hit.

Finally, they tried us…and though our main facility was full, our fosters stepped up to the plate and not only took them in, but socialized them as well! If you’ve ever socialized a feral/semi-feral kitten…. You know how much work that is!

Norbert’s finders drove over 2 hours to bring them to us, and now with medical complete …. Norbert (and siblings) are ready for their forever homes!

As luck would have it, we were messaged by Bannock County Humane Society asking if we had any male kittens READY for adoption! And after bringing Norbert to meet the family they so graciously referred to us, they immediately fell in love, and took him home 💗

It was FATE! Happy Trails little one!!!

🌟ADOPTION DAY SPOTLIGHT🌟

Cedric and Caitlyn 1/09/25

Caitlyn and Cedric were brought to us by a Good Samaritan who found them roaming around outside an estate sale.

Cedric was not doing well, as he was running around with an intestinal prolapse. Caitlyn wasn’t any doing any better. She actually had a wood splinter stuck in her right eye, and was unable to open it.

This amazing woman immediately took them to the vet and had them taken care of. Cedric had surgery to fix his prolapse, and luckily they were able to remove the splinter from Caitlyn’s eye at the office visit.

Once she was able to bring them home, she contacted us immediately. Our fosters jumped at the chance to care for, and rehabilitate them.

After getting the greatest love and socialization with our fosters, they finally finished their medical. I swear they were only posted on PetFinder for a few hours before they were adopted….and BOY did they find a beautiful forever family!

Going from strays (in serious need of medical attention) at an abandoned estate, to a home where they’ll be loved and nurtured for the entirety of their lives is the BEST outcome we could have hoped for.

Even better than that…. They got to stay together!

💥The kittens and I would’ve never made it through this week without ALL the help we’ve received!!!

2 full days in a row to get 6 kitties spayed/neutered. 2 different vets, in 2 different cities.

Our power couple fosters, and our Vice President really stepped up the last few days, as I’ve caught this plague of a nasty flu that’s been going around. They’ve done transports for us,pick ups and drop offs, and even woke up really early to ensure all these babies were ready to go to their destinations.

Last but not least, a HUGE shoutout to both SRAS, and AAAC for all your dedication and love for our rescue babies!

We can’t thank you all enough for being a part of the Smitten Kitten Team! This week never would have happened without you, and we’re so blessed to have each and every one of you in our lives!
