Our puppies are raised in our home, so once they leave ours, they are ready for yours! New experiences as very young puppies help to build stable dogs who recover quickly when startled. It goes without saying, this is a foundation that MUST be built upon for the entire life of the dog, especially Chesapeakes 😊

Week THREE!

I apologize for not getting a week two update out! Mama Ruby had a bout of mastitis, and caring for her took precedence. I’m happy to say that she’s doing very well and recovering wonderfully. In 8 litters this was our first go with mastitis, so it was a learning experience for sure.

This week is all about neuroplasticity. Exposing puppies to new experiences before their first fear stage of development. This helps them develop the neuro pathways necessary for startle recovery as an older puppy/dog.

A Chessie won Reserve Best In Show at the 150th running of the Westminster Kennel Club dog show! Wow! What a milestone for our breed.

FOUR Ruby babies made their appearance on Friday, 3 boys 1 girl. Yes, the deadgrass i s the girl- she just had to be unique😍

We spent the weekend soaking in newborn puppy bliss and can’t wait to see these kids grow!!
