Looking forward to the new growing season. Getting green houses ready, making seed orders and looking into possible alternative marketing for customers. Also if anyone has a particular favorite crop that we grow let us know. We know things have been difficult due to the economy and the pandemic bit we still want to here from our customers. If you have any suggestions let us know. Also if regulations allow we may be trying to do a few classes on crop extension and low cost green house construction. Hopefully we will be able to do online classes and videos soon.

Working on our farm expansion. This hill has to be leveled off for our new high tunnel/ green house. It will be 50 feet long 24 feet wide. Now on our farm i dont have a tractor. And on a budget we cant just go rent equipment. So i am leveling this area using this tiller to break up the ground and this shovel to move the dirt. Some might say this is too hard. It is work but it is not as bad as you think. Our ancestors built a whole lot of things and they did not have a tiller to help. Lol. Have a great day.

The battle with the ground hog has begun...again. hoping for a good day at the market. I will have some kolrabi to day for Carol kerns pre order. I should have erin huang pre order Saturday. I will be growing more through the summer. Also i will have a little bit of purple letuce today.

This year we are adding insect netting as a protection from pest to keep those pesky grasshoppers from attacking our greens. Last year we got hit by a swarm that wiped out the majority of our kale, spinach, and other greens. This year we have stepped up and added insect netting so we can keep to our policy of not using pesticides on our farm. Looking forward to our first harvest.

Well the new season is here. And we are growing more than ever on the farm. Despite the disruptions caused by covid19 we are still dedicated to growing fresh produce for our customers. I will post a list of what we are growing and when it will be available soon. As well as steps our farm is taking to ensure quality and safety in these troubled times. Form all of us at C&C family farm stay safe and stay healthy and keep social distancing. If we all do our part we can get back to normal business safely and soon.
