With the subtle changes of September, I’m feeling the desire to slow down after a busy summer.
I hear the crows song becoming louder than the sparrows.
A shiver runs down my spine when my feet hit the ground in the morning as I emerge from under my cozy covers.
The sun is beginning to tuck himself in earlier each night and the leaves will soon start to fall.
This lovely time of year summons me inward. Towards my family and home and encourage a deep rest in preparation for the busy spring that always follows and comes faster than I could ever expect.

All this to say we have decided to call this farmers market season a wrap! BUT we will however be continuing to bake the delicious, gut healthy bread you love available through porch pickup with advanced notice!

Even if the bugs eat more of your produce than you do.

Because you might find that the worth of the garden isn’t always in the food.

It might be in the chubby little hand popping a cherry tomato in their mouth with such pleasure or a toddler picking a handful of beans with pride on their face.

For you, it might be in the bees buzzing about , fuzzy and covered in pollen from something YOU grew and you smile, knowing they’d say thank you if they could.

It might be in the moments where you find your hands deep in the dirt, sweat on your brow instead of sitting on the couch watching a screen, building resilience.

You might find that the simple task of growing a garden starts you on a journey of self discovery and questioning everything.

You might find that the value of your garden is in fact so much more than food.
